The German government implored citizens to avoid -- at least for a little while -- Microsoft's Internet Explorer following the discovery of a bug in the browser. The bug, which was confirmed but not yet fixed by Microsoft, reportedly makes PCs vulnerable to hackers: After an Internet Explorer user visits a malicious website, their computer can be taken over by hackers who exploit the bug.
